Flagler Beach is located about 15 miles north of Daytona Beach on Florida‘s Palm Coast. It lies between Daytona Beach and St. Augustine in Flagler and Volusia Counties. The Ocean Palm Villas South subdivision is actually the only portion of the city that is within Volusia County. Flagler Beach is a town that has grown from a sleepy little fishing village to a charming seaside community. It has six miles of beautiful orange beach - yes, orange! The sand has an distinct orange hue thanks to crushed coquina shells. Some say the town gives a retro vibe, and definitely has a delightful laid-back atmosphere. It was chosen in 2012 by Where to Retire Magazine as one of the “top retirement destinations in Florida.“ Flagler Beach was also a finalist in the 2013 Budget Travel Magazine Coolest Small Town Contest. The magazine said of the town, “Flagler Beach couldn't be more different from its party-hardy neighbor to the south. In fact, the area seems to attract more sea turtles and whales than spring breakers.”

The town of Flagler Beach sits along a thin strip of beach between the Atlantic Ocean and Intracoastal Waterway and is much less developed than neighboring cities. It’s home to the Flagler Municipal Pier, oceanfront restaurants and pubs, cafes and gift shops. For things to do in Flagler Beach, outdoor recreation is prime. Swimming, fishing, boating, kayaking, snorkeling, surfing, golf and tennis are all options. Every Friday Flagler Beach has an old-fashioned farmer’s market in the center of town where you can find everything from fresh fruits and vegetables, to baked goods, nuts and plants. The 4th of July is celebrated with a spectacular display of fireworks from the end of the Pier.
